Oxford's Sustainable Community Strategy 2008–2012

Oxford: A world class city for everyone

The Oxford Strategic Partnership has published its Sustainable Community Strategy 2008–2012. It is called Oxford: A world class city for everyone.

The Strategy sets the vision for Oxford City and states the key issues for the city where the Oxford Strategic Partnership feels it can add value in the coming years. This can be summarised as follows:

The OSP's over-riding vision is that Oxford will be a world class city for everyone.

The OSP has adopted a cross cutting theme of the economy in the city and five flagship issues where the OSP feels it can add value:

  • Affordable Housing
  • Health and Social Inclusion
  • Climate Change
  • Quality of the Public Realm for Residents and Visitors
  • Safer, Stronger, more Cohesive City

In December 2009, the OSP formally adopted the Regeneration Framework for Oxford to 2026 as an addendum to the Community Strategy. To download a copy of the Regeneration Framework click here.
